History
The DOST-PSU UCC Scholars’ Organization, affectionately known as DOST-PUSO, had its humble beginnings on October 1, 2022. Founded by a group of passionate Department of Science and Technology (DOST) scholars at Pangasinan State University's Urdaneta City Campus, the organization's inception marked the commencement of a remarkable journey.
As DOST-PUSO continues to grow, adapt, and evolve, it remains steadfast in its mission to inspire and empower scholars, promote scientific literacy, and serve the nation with unwavering dedication. The organization's journey is a testament to what can be achieved when passionate individuals come together with a shared vision, driven by a love for education, science, and service to the Philippines.
In a short span of time, DOST-PUSO achieved remarkable milestones. The organization became a hub for fostering academic excellence, nurturing leadership skills, and promoting patriotic values. It organized numerous training workshops, seminars, and outreach programs that not only enhanced the skills and knowledge of its members but also extended the benefits of science and technology to the wider community.

The three-color scheme of the logo was inspired by the DOST Logo and represents the unknown (black), truth and enlightenment (white), and progress (blue)
The heart-shaped logo was inspired by the organization's name, "PUSO," which means "heart.

The chain-like structure of the logo represents the shared bonds among the patriot scholars of PSU UCC, which are strengthened by the organization's mission and vision.

The square in the center of the logo, which was formed by the interlocking of the two chains represents each side the organization's four core values: Patriotic, Unwavering Service, Servant Leadership, and Optimistic.
Vision
The organization shall envision a community of scholars who are Passionate about serving the nation, Unified by the same aspiration, Steadfast in the face of adversity, and Optimistic toward creating a better country.
Mission
The DOST-PSU UCC Scholars' Organization (DOST-PUSO) shall strive to pursue:
Promote development of the nation's most steadfast, enthusiastic, innovative, and patriotic scholars through relevant trainings and workshops, collaboration, leadership and academic excellence;
Unify DOST scholars of PSU UCC with one vision and mission;
Support, empower, and encourage patriot scholars to take an active role in nation building; and
Offer unwavering act of service to the nation.
